The Illinois Environmental Council Education Fund and Clean Power Lake County are partnering to support two clean energy and environmental justice Spring interns. IECEF is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization and donations ARE tax-deductible.
Clean Power Lake County (CPLC) is a volunteer-led, Waukegan-based, grassroots coalition devoted to clean energy and environmental justice. CPLC is partnering with the Illinois Environmental Council Education Fund to offer two part-time internships for college students during the spring of 2021.
Interns will gain real life experience in community organizing, policy research, and negotiations, as well as the communication and organizational skills required to develop a strong environmental movement. Your donation will go directly to the support of these interns, which in turn immediately impacts the work CPLC is able to engage to transition north eastern Lake County away from toxic, polluting industries toward a clean and sustainable future for all people. It will also equip future environmental justice leaders to engage the people and communities most affected by environmental degradation.
